Terrible Twos

last weekend.... got 6 inches of really pretty snow!

Toilet training time!

Sam and Tae love trucks... varoom...

Sam and Tae love big shoes!

Holy Cow! There's chocolate in these plastic eggs!

doo doo doo....plastic egg and me... doo doo doo.

I know Tae can understand 99% of what I say to him.
Then whyyyyyy does he only listen to me 50% of the time?

I know Tae can communicate with me using sign, gestures, and words.
Then whyyyyyy does he scream, cry and grunt when he wants something?

It is a good thing he is so darn cute!

Time-outs and NOs

Unfortunately, Tae is becoming a time-out expert.
Yesterday, he had three:
one in the morning for throwing a cup at mommy
one at the library for hitting mommy
one at the park for pushing his friend,
Today, he went to daycare where I imagine he had three time-outs:
(I imagine) one for throwing a cup
(I imagine) one for hitting
(I imagine) one for pushing.
I will take a picture of his time-out face for all to view.

______________________________________
Conversations with NOs.
Dad: Tae do you want to sing?
Tae: NO
Dad: Tae do you want to play?
Tae: NO
Dad: Tae, are you ever going to ever ask for money?
Tae: [no response]
Dad: Are you hungy?
Tae: NO
Dad: Do you love daddy?
Tae: hmmmmmm...
Dad: Do you love mommy?
Tae: hmmmmm...

He is either a genius or the whole NO thing is random and we want to believe he is a genius. Whatever the case, this NO stage is going to become a serious pooper.

April 10, 09

Seriously, I can't believe it's been 4 months since my last post.
Tae had his 18 month check up.
He is 32 inches. (47%^ for you mothers out there)
He is 22.5 ppunds (8%)
And his head is average (45%)
He is a little stinker now. Smart, verbal, head strong..... and funny.
I just love everything about him. Even when he makes me crazy. :)
What a blessing!

Bye bye S word, and the A word and other 4 letter words!

This morning Tae was so whiney and demanding I told him to "Shut it." For five minutes he went around the house yelling "utit, utit." I thought," ohhh Sh....utit there goes my cussing days!"

BIG CAT FISH

BIG FRIENDS

BIG DARE DEVIL

BIG VACUUM

TAE SAYS:

I can't believe it is January 2009! Things I have done so far this year..... go see fishies, eat Chinese food, go see the stuff at the Nature and Science museum, play with Sam, go to the library, play with my friends Jacob, James, and Justin, go play at the park, go play with my friends Zach and Elise, eat more Chinese food, go to the mall, go to school and see my friends.

New words I can say, please, duck, quack, juice, cracker, shoes, meow..

I SAY:

It is amazing how quickly Tae is picking up language now. I am amazed at all the words and signs he uses now to communicate with us! KEEP SIGNING PEOPLE, it works!

Total words: daddy, mommy, yes, no, bottle, milk, water, baby, kitty, meow, moo, hi, bye, night, hungry, juice, cracker, eat, all done, thank you, more, nose, belly, shoes, socks, buddy, quack, duck, light (on/off), up, varoom (car), honk honk, ... that's a lot words! Who knows what else?

Gosh, I almost forgot his faves: OH-OH, Ball, Balloon & I want that!

"Gosh, I love Hilton beds!"

The Cure For Ba Humbug Flu

It is amazing how much a little ba humbug like myself can really enjoy the the pre-Christmas chaos. I believe that is because of mommy-hood. XMAS x Baby = -BH

We have a 9 ft tree... the first tree we have had since we've been married.
Baby Tae is super good with the tree.... the ornaments are beyond his reach.
The kitties have found a new napping place... the stand cover is nice and velvety.

Tae is 14 months old today and it seems like yesterday I was sleep deprived and barely hanging on to sanity. NOW he goes to bed at 7 and wakes up at 6. Banker keeps rhetorically asking: Can you believe our son is sleeping through the night! In return I say: Do you think it is just a phase?

All I know is: he stopped taking the bottle a month ago. No silicone nipple, no Next Step formula, no nothing that reminds him of the baby he used to be at 13 months. Pooo hooo and YAY!
